You may receive the following error when attempting to import a project with a Broker enabled to a Gitlab connection:

We encountered an error connecting to Git Lab. Please ensure that your broker is running and up to date

When creating the token, Snyk needs to use an access token with API scope and the account that created it must have Maintainer permissions. Read more here: GitLab integration

Important note

When creating a new token or if your old token has expired, you must update your token on the Integration page for Gitlab by navigating to Integrations > Gitlab and re-typing your new token.
